Modern house exterior with a clean paved driveway

Dublin's climate is hard on outdoor hard surfaces — patios and driveways build up moss, algae and general grime faster than most people expect, especially on surfaces that don't get direct sun for much of the day. Pressure washing removes that build-up from the surface itself, rather than just the loose dirt sitting on top.

This service covers ground-level hard surfaces: patios, driveways, paths and similar areas around a home or business. It's booked as a seasonal refresh, ahead of selling or letting a property, or simply when a surface has visibly darkened with moss and algae over time.

The surface material affects both the approach and the result — natural stone, concrete, block paving and decking all respond differently, and some older or more delicate surfaces need a gentler setting to avoid damage. We'll assess the surface before starting rather than using one setting for everything.

Why MirroClean

What stays consistent, visit to visit

Matched to the surface

We assess the material before starting, since stone, concrete, block paving and decking all need a different approach.

The whole area, not just the visible parts

Full patios and driveways are cleaned edge to edge, not just the sections that show the most moss.

Clear about what's not included

We don't take on roof work or upper-level access — ground-level hard surfaces are the focus, and we're upfront about that limit.

Debris cleared, not left behind

Loosened moss, algae and residue are cleared away once the surface is washed, rather than left to be swept up separately.

Service options

However often you need it

One-off treatment

A single deep clean, typically booked annually or before a specific event such as a sale or viewing.

Seasonal refresh

Some clients book on a yearly or twice-yearly basis to keep moss and algae from building up significantly between visits.

Pricing

A price based on your property, not a flat rate

Pricing depends on the total surface area, the material, and its current condition. Request a quote with approximate dimensions and we'll confirm a price before booking.

FAQ

Questions worth asking before you book

Will pressure washing damage my patio or driveway?

Used at the wrong setting, pressure washing can damage some surfaces, which is why we assess the material and condition beforehand and adjust the approach accordingly, rather than using one setting for every surface.

Can you remove oil stains from a driveway?

Fresh or light oil marks often improve significantly, but older, deep-set oil staining may not fully lift. We'll be upfront about what's realistic once we've seen the specific stain.

Do you clean roofs?

No — roof cleaning requires working at height and isn't part of our current service. We focus on ground-level hard surfaces such as patios, driveways and paths.

How long does the surface take to dry afterwards?

This depends on the weather and the surface material, but it's sensible to keep the area free of foot traffic for a few hours after washing.

Do you re-sand block paving after cleaning?

Re-sanding of joints is available as an add-on, since pressure washing can dislodge some of the existing jointing sand.

What surfaces can be pressure washed?

Most hard surfaces — natural stone, concrete, block paving and some decking — can be treated, though the pressure setting and method vary. We'll confirm suitability for your specific surface before starting.

How often should a patio or driveway be pressure washed?

Once a year is a reasonable guide for most Dublin properties, given how quickly moss and algae can build up in a damp climate, though shaded or north-facing areas may need more frequent attention.
